CyberUnits
is a cross-platform class library for
computational biocybernetics. It provides
flexible and powerful tools for the
creation and validation of simulative models
in biomedical science, including
physiology, endocrinology and metabolic
research. With an open and extensible
approach, it facilitates modelling for
biomedical cybernetics and systems
biology with Object Pascal.
Within
CyberUnits, the Bricks collection is a set
of
Pascal units for the rapid development of
high-performance computer simulations
in life sciences. It also delivers a class
library that facilitates the
generation of visual block diagrams in
software and tools for the numeric
analysis of simulated information processing
structures.
The
foundations of CyberUnits have been
published in
peer-reviewed scientific publications. They
have been extensively validated and
evaluated. Simulation studies provided
evidence that programs created with
CyberUnits Brick are more efficient and
significantly faster than alternative
solutions.
The
CyberUnits library is licensed under a BSD
license. This facilitates its usage for a
plethora of programming projects,
especially both free open-source software
and commercial applications.
The
CyberUnits library is compatible with Lazarus and Free Pascal.
Embarcadero Delphi is partly
supported. Compatibility with winsoft Pocket Studio
and other Pascal compilers is in planning
stage.
